In 1982, Blade Runner revealed the power of music and sound — not as decoration, but as a world unto itself.
Stephen Verrall is a Canadian musician and film composer whose work moves between cinematic electronics, driving rock, ambient tension and melodic songwriting. He composed and performed the synth-heavy score for the animated sci-fi feature Nova Seed, released by Lakeshore Records in 2017.
From otherworldly screen scores to the songs of Butterfly and the single “Perpetrator,” each release follows a different frequency — connected by atmosphere, experiment and a devotion to the emotional weight of sound.
